Following on from my last video and post, my 5 favourite Mac lipsticks, I wanted to extend the courtesy to my beloved Mac eyeshadows. It wasn’t too hard to narrow it down to my top 5 as I had gotten rid of many of my Mac eyeshadows a few months back, shadows I had dupes of but weren’t as great in terms of quality and shadows that I just didn’t really get round to using much for whatever reason. I now have a very streamlined collection of Mac eyeshadows so picking the 5 that I get the most wear time from, which for me pretty much translate as my favourites, was a piece of cake.
So in no particular order, here are my 5 favourite Mac eyeshadows (or you can watch the video to find out).
Patina (frost)- described as a ‘Taupe brown with a golden pearl‘, it’s a very unique shade with a slight duo-chrome effect.
All That Glitters (veluxe pearl) – described as a ‘Beige with gold pearl‘, my go to shade for spring and summer and what I would describe as more of a rose gold. This is a shade that would suit many different skin tones.
Woodwinked (veluxe pearl) – described as a ‘warm antique gold‘, it looks especially good with a tan and is more of a deeper, bronze gold when compared to All That Glitters which is more of a light, warm, rose gold.
Soft Brown (matte) – described as a ‘soft, golden, peachy brown‘ and is the perfect neutral transition shade. It is an extremely light brown or more of a muted, pink toned peach and great for blending out darker shades in the crease.
Swiss Chocolate (matte) – described as a ‘muted reddish brown‘, it is a warm, mid tone brown and a staple for those who love their rich, warm tones.
